A Victoria Point dad is set to create unforgettable moments with his family, planning to splash out on a backyard pool and a shiny new boat after pocketing $190,000 in a recent Keno draw.
The Redland City man scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot with a x3 Bonus in Keno draw 604 on Monday 20 April 2026. He can look forward to a total prize of $193,534.80.
Amazingly, the cheerful man explained that he had never visited the River Road Tavern but decided to stop in on his way home from work.
“The news still hasn’t sunk in!” he laughed.
“It’s the most amount of money I’ve ever won.
“I was working around Beenleigh, and I decided to stop into the local tavern on my way home. I put a game of Keno on, and I never expected to win anything.
“I headed home right away but had to wait until my wife and kids returned from being out so I could share the good news with them.
“They got back late that night, and since it was a school night, there wasn’t much chance for celebrating. Just a quick dinner and straight to bed.
“My wife was over the moon with the news though – she’s already listing things we could buy!
“She has always wanted to put in a pool for the kids, and I have been tossing up whether to upgrade the boat or not. We currently just have a small tinnie.
“We could even get a caravan and go for some adventures.
“Thank you very much! I’m so excited.”
His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at River Road Tavern, 39-49 Logan River Road, Beenleigh.
River Road Tavern general manager Joe Walker said he couldn't believe the team had sold another major Keno winning entry in less than two weeks.
