A Tooleybuc man is excitedly house shopping after scoring a Keno 7 Spot prize worth over $60,000.

The New South Wales player held a Keno 7 Spot winning entry with a ten times Keno Bonus multiplier in game 942 Friday 12 July 2019 scoring a prize of $60,595.40.

Confirming his win with a Keno official this afternoon, the winner recalled how he had no idea he had won until he checked his ticket the next day.

“I bought my ticket, but I wasn’t watching the draw because I was talking to a mate and having a bite to eat,” he shared.

“I completely forgot I bought a ticket, so I went home.

“It wasn’t until I remembered the next day and checked my ticket that I saw I won!

“I couldn’t believe it! I was shocked. It’s brilliant.

“I celebrated with a few drinks. I am at work now, but I am still celebrating!”

When asked how he planned to use his prize, the stoked bloke said he had already begun house shopping.

“It has come at the perfect time,” he admitted.

“I am going to buy a house. I wasn’t planning to before, but now I am.

“I have already started house shopping and I have found a few I like.

“It’s very exciting.”

The player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry at Tooleybuc Sporting Club, 1 Lockhart Road, Tooleybuc.

Tooleybuc Sporting Club duty manager Ricky Cottis said the venue was celebrating a local customer winning over $60,000.

“I am still bloody shaking over it. It was so exciting,” he laughed.

“The whole place was talking about it on Friday. Everyone was checking their tickets and hoping it was them.

“When our winner came in the next day, I scanned his ticket and that’s when I told him I thought he had the winning ticket. He didn’t believe me.

“He kept pacing around. He was really stunned. Breaking that news was unreal and we all celebrated with him on Saturday.

“We are so happy for him and we wish him all the best.

“This is the biggest win we’ve had, and we can’t wait to have some more soon.”

In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million.  Ten of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT.

New South Wales players win $43.26 million each month on average playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in New South Wales alone, players bought 43.26 million Keno tickets and won $519.06 million in cash prizes, including 973 individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.

More chances to win!

In late 2017, Keno released Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of the current “Classic” Keno that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win $5 million or more every three minutes with a spend of $2 – just $1 more than the current game.

Keno is a fun, easy game that is played approximately every three minutes. Twenty numbers are drawn from the 80 available on the Keno display screen. Players simply match their numbers to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1,000,000 for as little as $1 per game.
