A Broadbeach man is toasting to a $59,000 Keno windfall after faithfully playing the numbers he once saw in a dream.

The Gold Coast resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot in Keno draw 948, drawn Monday 21 July 2025 and looks forward to a total prize of $59,609.00.

When an official from Keno reached out to confirm the exciting news, the Queenslander admitted he was still in a state of shock following the revelation.

“We were sitting at a table at Twin Towns Services Club when my partner suddenly turned to me and said, ‘You’ve got all the numbers! You’ve won!’” he recalled.

“I was in total disbelief. I just said, ‘What? You’re kidding!’. She had memorised every single number; knew them all by heart.

“Then, as the numbers appeared on the Keno screen, it confirmed everything. My partner started snapping photos straight away.

“I just sat there in complete shock. Honestly, I still can’t wrap my head around it.

“I’ve never experienced anything like this - nothing even close.

“My partner did win around $14,000 about ten years ago, but this is on a whole other level.

“Some of the numbers actually came to me in a dream, and I added a few extras to round it out.

“We’re very happy.”

The gleeful retiree revealed he plans to invest his windfall for the future and set some aside for a well-deserved getaway.

“We’re going to invest and use it for a holiday. We’ve actually got a cruise planned next year and this will come in handy!” he shared.

“We’re getting on a bit, and we still want to see more places!”

His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Twin Towns Services Club, 2 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads.

This marks the second major Keno jackpot won at Twin Towns Services Club in 2025, following a $4.14 million Keno Spot 10 prize claimed by a Tweed Heads grandmother back in May.

In 2024, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 76 million wins collectively worth more than $1.19 billion.

During this time, Keno crowned 23 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $54.9 million. Eleven of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including an East Maitland dad who scored a $6.6 million windfall.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 38.9 million Keno wins totalling more than $599.2 million across the region in 2024.
