A Mackay man is set to swap his worn-out wheels for something far sleeker after his decade-old numbers delivered him a second big Keno win – this time a prize of more than $64,000.
The chirpy Queenslander scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 295 on Saturday 6 June 2026. He pocketed a total prize of $64,495.70.
When speaking with a Keno official, the gleeful winner revealed he’d already left the venue when his numbers came up and he only discovered his good fortune thanks to a call from his son.
“It’s really great! I was very excited,” he laughed.
“I’d headed home but my son called me and he said, ‘There’s been a win in Keno’. I checked my ticket on my phone and was shocked.
“I’ve always used the same set of numbers.
“Back in the 2000s I had a similar win to this one on Keno. I think I won around $61,000.”
When asked how he planned to use his newfound fortune, the winning man new exactly what he’d like to do.
“I’ll probably upgrade my car. It definitely needs it,” he said.
“Thank you so much.”
His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased from Austral Hotel, 189 Victoria St, Mackay.
