A Winmalee man’s gut instinct to dust off his old Keno numbers and enjoy a game with mates delivered him a Keno Classic 10 Spot prize worth a whopping $4.7 million.

The Blue Mountains player scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot with a x3 Bonus in draw 389, drawn Saturday 30 May 2026. He looks forward to a total prize of $4,708,871.50.

When we phoned him this morning to confirm the life-changing prize, the stunned winner was still floating on cloud nine after a weekend celebrating.

“I’m very good today!” he cheered.

“I’ve had a very big weekend celebrating.

“I used to play Keno a long time ago and then I just stopped one day.

“In just the past month, I decided to start having a go again.

“My mates were playing a bit, and I thought to myself, ‘Bugger it, why not give it a go?’.

“I use the same set of the special numbers every time - never any more or any less.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his $4.7 million prize, the New South Wales man shared the win was yet to sink in.

“It’s still so surreal,” he said.

“I think I’ll invest most of it and give myself some time to plan ahead.”

The thrilled winner purchased his winning Keno 10 Spot entry at Winmalee Tavern, 30 White Cross Road, Winmalee.

Winmalee Tavern licensee Chris Burns shared the team were shocked to discover their little tavern had sold a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning ticket worth $4.7 million.

“Everyone was really shocked that our little tavern could sell a 10 Spot winning ticket,” he said.

“It’s a great win for our community, and I’m sure all our customers will be excited for the local.

“This is by far the biggest win to ever land at our tavern. I think the most I’d ever paid out previously was around $7,000.

“A massive well done to our winner. I hope you can use the money well.”
