A Bracken Ridge man has spent the night pacing his house in disbelief after discovering his long-held Keno numbers delivered him a win of more than $117,000.
The northern Brisbane resident scored the Keno Classic 9 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 61 on Monday 16 March 2026. He took home a total prize of $117,400.30.
When an official from Keno spoke with the winning man this morning, he was still beaming with excitement and admitted he could retire immediately.
“I’m very good today! I still can’t get over it!” he exclaimed.
“I tell you what. I’ve been playing these numbers for years. I’d always say, ‘One day, one day, they’ll all pop up.’ I can’t believe they finally did.
“When I checked my ticket, the staff said, ‘Hang on, you’ve won over $50,000 here.’ I was speechless!
“Before even knowing how much I’d won, I was thinking, ‘Gosh, $50,000 is life-changing!’
“Then I was told I’d won over $117,000 and I just went, ‘Wow!’
“All of last night I was wandering around the house repeating the prize amount to myself in disbelief.
“It’s amazing and it means I don’t have to go back to work. I can retire!”
His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased from Aspley Hornets, 50 Graham Road, Carseldine.
Aspley Hornets general manager Danni Francis said she couldn’t be happier for their winning member.
