A Smithfield man has thanked his lucky stars after his Keno 8 Spot entry scored a major prize last night.

The winner held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 717 on Tuesday 15 January 2019 that scored $90,718.60.

Speaking with a Keno official today, the man revealed he was over the moon at his surprise win and considered himself a very lucky person.

“I usually play Keno 3 Spot but yesterday I decided to play Keno 8 Spot,” he explained.

“I don’t know why I decided to change my mind last minute but I’m so glad I did!

“Someone was obviously watching over me as my numbers came up.

“I’m a very lucky person.”

The man revealed he had enjoyed playing Keno for years, and had always hoped to one day win big.

“I love playing Keno at my local venue but have never landed a prize this big,” he explained.

“I never base my numbers on anything in particular, I just hope my random numbers come up and yesterday they did!”

When asked how he might use his Keno fun money, the Sydney man said he planned to use his windfall as a nest egg for future adventures.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his Keno 8 Spot entry at Crescent Hotel Fairfield, 81 The Crescent, Fairfield.

Crescent Hotel Fairfield manager Peter Nguyen said he was excited to see his regular customer had a big win.

“We’ve been celebrating at the venue and telling everyone we’ve sold a major Keno prize,” he said.

“Lots of people have been so excited to hear that one of our patrons has won. Everyone is hoping it is them next time!

“We are really happy for our winner and we wish him all the best.”
