A hard-working truck driver is looking forward to spending more time fishing after catching a $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 2518020, drawn 18 July 2019.

Speaking to a SA Lotteries official this morning, the happy man confessed he discovered the news late Friday afternoon when checking his lottery tickets.

“I called in to the hotel last week to grab a Powerball ticket and have a drink with my Dad and while I was there I grabbed a Keno entry,” he explained.

“I didn’t stick around to watch the draw and only checked my ticket on Friday when I went in to check my Powerball entry.

“I didn’t win anything on that so was pretty stoked to discover I’d won $50,000 on a Keno Spot 8!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the stoked winner confessed he was planning on spending less time in the truck and more time dropping a line.

“I’ll be spending a lot more time fishing!” he declared.

The stoked bloke, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning Keno Spot 8 entry at Albion Hotel, 423 Churchill Road, Kilburn.

Albion Hotel manager Brad Barreau said he was thrilled one of their customers is now $50,000 richer.

“We are so excited for our customer!” he exclaimed.

“We’re pretty sure this is the biggest Keno prize we’ve sold in the 18 years we’ve been here.

“Congratulations to our customer, we wish him all the best!”
