An Ambarvale man is thinking of his family first after discovering he won a Keno 8 Spot prize yesterday afternoon.

The New South Wales player held a Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot winning entry in game 621 on Sunday 21 July 2019 scoring a prize of $155,902.80.

Confirming his win with a Keno official this morning, the winner recalled how he discovered his prize.

“I bought my ticket from my local tavern and then I went home to watch the draw with my wife on the app on our iPad,” he explained.

“My wife was cooking dinner and I was sitting down watching the draw when I saw our numbers come up.

“I was so excited, and my wife had a few tears.

“We feel pretty lucky and very fortunate.

“I couldn’t sleep that night; I was on such a high!

“It’s come at the perfect time and it’s life-changing for our family.

“We’ve been playing the same numbers for yonks. They’re my favourite numbers. I’m glad they’ve delivered a win.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy his prize, the Sydney man said his first thought was his family.

“We had dinner last night to talk about what we were going to do with it, so we have a few ideas now,” he shared.

“We will put some of it towards our daughter’s university fees and we will get a new car.

“We will probably go on a holiday to celebrate as well.”

The player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry at Ambarvale Tavern, 57 Woodhouse Drive, Ambarvale.

Ambarvale Tavern duty manager Ashleigh Greeks duty manager said the venue was celebrating making one of their customers a Keno 8 Spot winner.

“It’s amazing! It’s the biggest win we’ve ever had,” she said.

“When it came up on screen yesterday everyone was hoping it was them!

“There was such a buzz here yesterday.

“The winner wasn’t here at the time, but he came in later that night and thanked us. It was lovely.

“We’re very happy for him and hope he enjoys his prize.

“Hopefully we will sell another big Keno prize soon.”
