A Charmhaven couple were left gobsmacked over the weekend when they discovered they’d been going about their week completelyoblivious that they were holding onto a Keno ticket worth $60,000.
The New South Wales residents held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 426, drawn Saturday 19 October 2024 and scored $60,063.80.
“I’m over the moon!” the winning husband exclaimed.
“My wife’s very happy too. It was actually her ticket that won.
“We had no idea we had won all week. Luckily, we didn’t lose the ticket in the meantime!
“We’ve already spoken about it and we’re definitely going to use some for a holiday.
“There are a few places we’d like to go so we’re very excited.
“Thank you so much! We don’t play all that often, just every now and then when we’re out for dinner so it was a lovely surprise.”
Their Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry was purchased at Northlakes Tavern, 17-33 Pacific Highway, Charmhaven.
The Northlakes Tavern team were delighted to have sold a major Keno prize winning entry and wished their winner all the best with their prize.
In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.
