A Canberra couple have scooped up more than Easter eggs over the weekend after scoring a delicious $50,000 win in a recent Keno draw.
The Australian Capital Territory residents held a Keno Mega Millions winning entry in Keno draw 031, drawn Thursday 6 April 2023, and took home a total prize of $50,000.
“I’m still in shock!” the elated woman exclaimed when an official from Keno called this morning to confirm her life-enhancing windfall.
“We had finished up at the local church in the morning for Easter and my husband told me that he needed to go to the bathroom, so I waited in the car.
“I decided to check my Keno entry while I was waiting for him.
“The next thing I knew, we had won $50,000!
“It was a gloomy day, with a lot of rain, but this turned everything around.
“It might not seem like a lot, but $50,000 will set us up for a long time!
“My husband and I are struggling to process the winning news. It keeps running through my mind that it’s not true. It will all make sense when the funds hit the bank account.
“This will be a huge help towards our mortgage deposit.”
