A Shorncliffe dad’s trusty numbers have finally worked their magic after they snagged him a $132,000 Keno win.
The Moreton Bay resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 635, drawn Wednesday 22 April 2026. He pocketed a total prize of $132,252.40.
Speaking with an official from Keno, the winner said he was still coming to terms with his good fortune, revealing the biggest prize he’d ever won before this was $300.
“I think it’s only just started to sink in,” he laughed.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for about three or four years, and I usually just put them on each time I’m out for dinner.
“They were just eight random numbers I chose at the time. I know them off by heart now and I use them for most things like Lotto as well.
“Now that they’ve finally popped up, I might change them up.
“I think the biggest prize I’ve won is about $300 so as you can imagine I’m still in a bit of shock.”
The grateful dad said he had no idea he’d won big until he returned to the venue to check his Keno ticket.
“I had no idea I’d won until I came in to check my ticket. It was taking a while to scan, so I thought something might be wrong with the machine,” he said.
“Then the team member said something about me winning over $5,000 which I was pretty chuffed about but to find out I’d actually won $132,000 was incredible.”
“It’ll be a real help to me and my children. We’ve been working really hard.
“Thank you so much. It’s a very surreal experience!”
His Keno Classic entry was purchased from The Full Moon Hotel, 118 Eagle Terrace, Sandgate.
