A group of mates working in Moura have received a bonus pay day they’ll never forget scoring a Keno 8 Spot prize of more than $110,000.

The players from across Queensland held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 697 on Wednesday 22 January 2020 and take home $113,853.50.

Confirming their win with a Keno official this afternoon, one of the mates explained how their win came to be.

“There’s nine of us from all around Queensland who are in town working in Moura,” he said.

“We were on a rest day and decided to head to the local tavern for a game of Keno.

“We were all standing outside the tavern when someone from came out to tell us there’d been a big Keno win.

“When we went inside to check our ticket, we couldn’t believe it was us!

“We were all hugging and kissing in the pub. It was awesome. It was hilarious!

“We were so excited, you have no idea!

“There were plenty of celebrations afterwards, that’s for sure!”

When asked how the group will enjoy their prize, the winner explained it would be split between nine.

“It’s come at the perfect time after Christmas, that’s for sure,” he laughed.

“A lot of us are going to pay off our cars and treat our families to a holiday.

“It’s created a great memory for this work stint.

“We’re all so excited!”

The group purchased their winning Keno entry at Moura Tavern, 8 Bell Street, Moura.

Moura Tavern manager Amellia Moore said it was the biggest Keno winning entry the venue had sold.

“It was very exciting in here last night, we haven’t had a win like that before,” she said.

“The boys were such a great crowd. They were incredibly excited.

“We hope we there’s plenty more Keno wins for our patrons.”
