A Tweed Heads grandmother nearly toppled over with shock at her local club, frantically begging for a chair after discovering she’d bagged a jaw-dropping $4 million win in a recent Keno draw.

The Northern Rivers resident scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 795, drawn Saturday 17 May 2025. She can look forward to a total $4,141,727.20.

When speaking to an official from Keno, the chirpy woman shared she had struggled to sleep or think straight, with the shock of her multi-million-dollar win keeping her mind racing.

“Oh dear! Thank you!” she laughed.

“I’m still shaking. I’m so shocked. I couldn’t sleep or think for days.

“In all honesty, I don’t play Keno often. The last time I put on a Keno ticket was three months ago. I only ever put a ticket on when I’m with my friends at the local club for a cup of coffee or dinner.

“My husband and I went out on Saturday night, and I just had a feeling that I was going to win something, so I had to put a ticket on.

“I had won $2 in the first game, then $6 in the next. I thought, ‘third time is the charm’ and I put the same numbers on again.

“I decided to check my ticket with a team member before we went home. The team member joked around and said, ‘What did you do to the machine?!’. I didn’t know what he was talking about!

“He first said I had won $400,000, and then he said, ‘No! Actually! You’ve won $4 million!’.

“I wanted to fall over. I said, ‘Bring me a chair!’.

“I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t know if it was true!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a newly crowned multi-millionaire, the New South Wales retiree said her family was at the heart of her plans.

“I’d like to help my daughter out with her mortgage and set up my grandchildren,” she exclaimed.

“I also look forward to a little fun in my retirement years with my husband!

“I wish I was there to give you a big hug!”

Her winning entry was purchased at Twin Towns Services Club, 2 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads.

The Twin Towns Services Club team were pleased to have sold a major Keno winning entry worth $4 million and wish their winner all the best with their prize.
