A man from Robina danced with joy after his set of special numbers turned into a $52,000 win in a recent Keno draw.

The Gold Coast resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 560, drawn Saturday 24 May 2025. He can look forward to a total $52,161.30.

“Honestly, I’m in a bit of shock,” he laughed when an official from Keno confirmed his win.

“It’s the most I’ve ever won in my entire life! I had to check it a couple of times to make sure it was real, and I wasn’t dreaming.

“I was just passing through and I decided to pop in for a meal, a drink, a game of Keno. I never expected to win anything!

“I haven’t really thought about what I’ll do but oh boy, it will come in handy!

“Thank you so much.”

The winning man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning ticket at Dog & Parrot, 2 Scottsdale Drive, Robina.

Dog & Parrot venue spokesperson Olivia Storr said they were celebrating having one of their patrons score a major Keno prize.

“Seeing one of our patrons win big with Keno is always fantastic and generates such a positive atmosphere in our venue that everyone feels like they’ve shared in the win too,” she said.

“As you can imagine, Keno wins like this become a talking point here for a long time to come.

“Dog & Parrot is no stranger to Keno wins, but we’re always excited to see another one come our way.

“We wish our winner the very best with their prize!”

In 2024, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 76 million wins collectively worth more than $1billion.

During this time, Keno crowned 23 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $54.9 million.  Ten of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Crows Nest man whose favourite numbers scored him $5.5 million.

Queenslanders enjoyed more than 26.9 million Keno wins totalling more than $461.2 million at pubs and clubs across the state in 2024.
