A Noble Park woman is ready to indulge in the ultimate shopping spree, starting with a trip to the make-up store Mecca after scoring more than $114,000 in a recent Keno draw.
The Melbourne resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot with a x3 Bonus in draw 806, drawn Saturday 26 April, and looks forward to a total prize of $114,604.60.
Despite dreaming of all the ways she could use her newfound treasure, the occasional player shared that she was still processing the enormity of her prize days after her win.
“I’m still digesting the whole thing!” the elated winner exclaimed.
“It still hasn’t sunk in that I’ve won more than $100,000.
“I only play Keno from time to time when I’m out with friends, so it was a big shock.
“Recently, a special friend of mine shared a list of numbers with me that he thought were lucky.
“I just thought I’d give the numbers a go, but I didn’t expect to win anything.
“It was a big surprise to see those same numbers come up on the screen.
“The win will help me take care of my finances.
“I’m going to set a small amount aside to treat myself to a day at the shops.
“I’m going to start by going to Mecca and stocking up on my favourite products.”
Her winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Sandown Park Hotel, Corrigan Road, Noble Park.
Sandown Park Hotel spokesperson Gavin Lloyd-Griffiths said they were celebrating having one of their patrons score a major Keno prize.
“Seeing one of our patrons win big with Keno is always fantastic and generates such a positive atmosphere in our venue that everyone feels like they’ve shared in the win too,” he said.
