A Port Macquarie player is walking into the week more than $69,000 richer after finally discovering they’d won a major Keno prize last week.

The New South Wales resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 921, drawn Friday 4 March 2022. Their total windfall was $69,253.90.

However, how they plan to enjoy their Keno prize will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning Keno entry was purchased at Panthers Port Macquarie, 1 Bay Street, Port Macquarie.

Panthers Port Macquarie duty manager Tracey Stevens said the entire team was over the moon for their winner.

“This good news is most welcome by the venue and the community. What a fantastic win for our patrons!” she said.

“Our entire team would love to wish our winner all the best! We hope this win helps them substantially.

“Let’s hope the luck continues for patrons at our club! We love it when our patrons win major Keno prizes. It’s always so exciting!”

Keno spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said discovering the huge win was sure to put a smile on the winner’s face.

“While we may never know how this winner plans to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their win,” she said.

“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.

“However our Keno winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”

In 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 36.2 million wins collectively worth more than $590.3 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 13 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $31 million. Six of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including Crescent Head neighbours who was pocketed a Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot prize of more than $5.8 million.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 17.36 million Keno wins totalling more than $292 million at pubs and clubs across the state in 2020.
