A Narooma man is celebrating a double dose of good fortune after a Keno Bonus boosted his prize to more than $90,000.
The New South Wales man scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot with a x2 Bonus in Keno draw 238 on Wednesday 8 April 2026. He can look forward to a total prize of $90,652.20.
When an official from Keno spoke with the winning man, he was still soaking up the excitement of his unexpected windfall.
“Thank you very much. It’s a dream come true,” he said.
“I’ve won small prizes before, but this is my first time winning big.
“I was just sitting on my own when I saw on the screen that someone at the venue had won $90,000.
“I was the only person playing Keno at the time, so I thought it had to be me.
“Then I checked my ticket and it was surreal. I don’t know how to explain it. It felt funny.
“It was even better that the prize was doubled with the Bonus. I couldn’t believe it.”
When asked how the man planned to enjoy his newfound fortune, he admitted he would save it for a rainy day.
“I’ll put the money in the bank and save it,” he said.
“For now, I’ll just let the news sink in at home and enjoy the company of my dog.”
Narooma Golf Club customer experience manager Belinda Lenihan said the team were ecstatic about the win.
“It’s moments like this that bring such a buzz to the whole venue. We love being part of our community’s wins, and the team was over the moon when we heard the news,” she said.
“Our team, including long-term staff, can’t remember a Keno win of this magnitude at our venue. It really makes this moment feel extra special for the whole club.
