Two Maitland mates have spent the weekend celebrating their Keno Classic 8 Spot win and are heading into the week planning exactly what they’ll do with their prize.

The New South Wales players held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 517, drawn Saturday 6 March 2021, and take home a prize worth $88,406.40.

Confirming their win with an official from Keno today, one half of the winning duo explained they’d had a weekend to remember.

“Me and my mate like to play a game of Keno together every now and again,” one the  friends explained.

“We played eight numbers on Saturday and they came up!

“We weren’t watching the draw unfold, but we saw a little later that someone in the tavern had won the 8 Spot prize.

“Of course we were hopeful it was us and then we checked the ticket and there it was!”

“We were very excited!”

When asked how they thought they might enjoy their Keno fun money, one of the mates explained they both had some good ideas.

“I’m going to get a couple of little renos done around the house,” he said.

“And my mate is planning a big holiday.

“It will be great!”

The regular players, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at The George Tavern – East Maitland, 3 Molly Morgan Drive, East Maitland.

In 2020, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 59.9 million wins collectively worth more than $840.6 million.
