A woman from Kew was gobsmacked when she checked her Keno ticket and realised, she’d just bagged a $50,000 prize, leaving her stunned, smiling, and double-checking it wasn’t a dream.
The Mid North Coast resident scored the Keno Classic prize with 5x Bonus in draw 86, drawn Wednesday 23 April 2025, and looks forward to a neat $50,000.
“I was absolutely gobsmacked,” she shared when an official from The Lott confirmed her windfall.
“It’s pretty exciting; the most I’ve ever won!
“I’m still sort of processing the win. It’s sinking in.
“There were a lot of celebrations in the club when the jackpot went off – very noisy!
“I poured myself a glass of wine to celebrate. Definitely something worth celebrating!
“This win will allow my partner and I to do more things and finish some projects.
“Who knows, maybe a holiday will be on the cards as well!”
Her winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Laurieton United Services Club, 2 Seymour Street, Laurieton.
Laurieton United Services Club operations manager Meg Monaghan said the entire venue was buzzing with excitement when the $50,000 Keno prize was won.
“My jaw almost hit the floor! I was so excited when I first heard someone had won a major Keno jackpot at our venue,” she said.
“There’s been lots of chatter about who the lucky winner is, especially after the result popped up on the Keno screen. Everyone was so excited, and there were lots of beautiful wishes shared.
“It’s the first big win I’ve been part of, and it was such an exhilarating experience. There were so many emotions from everyone involved. We wish our winner all the best and hope she spends the prize on things that make her happy and create memories to last a lifetime.”
Club duty manager Daniel Trompert added, “It’s life-changing money and I’m thrilled for the winner. I don’t know who was more excited - me or her!”.
