A Blacksmiths woman is rewriting her retirement plans, after discovering she won $50,000 in Keno yesterday.

The New South Wales player held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 565 on Sunday 16 February 2020 and takes home $50,060.60.

Confirming her win with a Keno official this morning, the woman recounted her winning weekend.

“Isn’t it exciting?” she laughed.

“I was out to lunch for a birthday and I decided to play some Keno.

“I have never played eight numbers before but I decided to give it a go.

“I wasn’t watching the draw, so it wasn’t until I got up to go to the bathroom that I checked my ticket.

“The lady at the counter had a huge smile on her face and she told me I won $50,000!

“I screamed ‘f***ing bull***t! Oh my god, no way! Is this really happening?’.

“I couldn’t believe it. I ran outside and told my hubby and he was shocked. He thought I was joking.

“We usually go home after lunch, but we stayed for the afternoon and had some drinks with our friends to celebrate.

“We were in the best mood!”

The retiree said her win could not have come at a better time.

“We’ve both recently retired, so we are going to use this prize to have some fun,” she explained.

“We are going to go on some trips around Australia and overseas. We have no idea where yet, but we are very excited.”

The winning Keno 8 Spot entry was purchased at The Orana Hotel, 20 Pacific Highway, Blacksmiths.
