A Bowral man has found the stars well and truly aligned after a spontaneous $1 decision delivered a Keno win worth more than $50,000.
The Southern Highlands resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 821, on Wednesday 4 March 2026. He can look forward to a total prize of $50,625.40.
What makes the win even more remarkable is that the man admitted his winning ticket was a complete spur-of-the-moment choice as he almost never played an 8 Spot ticket.
“I’m pretty great. I’ve just been trying to sleep ! It was a bit of a shock” he laughed.
“It was quite random. I’m normally a 5 Spot man but I won $1 and for no reason at all, I just asked the team member to put a one game 8 Spot ticket on with it.
“I never play eight numbers. I just chose it out of nowhere and it was just a KwikPik! It was meant to be.
“Then when I checked the ticket, I wasn’t expecting anything. I just grabbed it out of my pocket and it all happened so quick.
“All my friends were with me and we were all so shocked!
“It’ll be put to good use. I’ll have a good think about it. Thank you so much!”
His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased from Bowral Hotel Motor Inn, 412 Bong Bong Street, Bowral.
