A Gympie man has declared dinner with his children his “new lucky charm” after scoring more than $93,000 in Keno Classic, exactly a year after a previous family dinner also delivered him a jackpot win.

The Queensland resident held a winning Keno Classic entry in draw 174 on Saturday 5 October 2024. His total prize was $93,082.80.

Still buzzing with excitement, the winning man shared his disbelief when an official from Keno called to confirm the incredible news.

“I’m bloody great!” the winning man cheered.

“I’ve been waiting for your call! My wife has been losing the plot thinking it’s not real.

“We were having dinner with our kids, and you wouldn’t believe it — almost exactly a year ago, we were doing the same thing when we won the Keno 7 Spot jackpot!

“That was great, but this is a lot more of a jaw-dropper! I think we should start having dinner with the kids more often.

“On the night, I looked at the screen and I saw the jackpot had been won. Then I saw where it was won, and I thought ‘Holy sh**! This could be me!

“My wife said settle down, there’s 1000 people here, it could be anyone.

“Then bang! It was us. I still can’t believe it.

“It’s going to help more than you know. We’ve already spoken about using it towards bills and we’ll have a fair bit leftover to play with.

“I wouldn’t mind getting a small boat!

“Thank you so much!”

The winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Gympie RSL217 Mary Street, Gympie.

The Gympie RSL team was over the moon to be a part of someone’s major win and wished them all the best with their prize.
