A Gladstone couple admitted they’re glad they spent the long weekend in Bundaberg, after winning more than $100,000 in Keno.

The Queensland players held a Keno 9 Spot winning entry in game 407 on Sunday 26 January 2020 and take home $101,203.60.

Confirming their win with a Keno official this morning, the pair admitted they were still in disbelief.

“I’m really, really good,” the winning woman declared.

“We’d gone to dinner and put some Keno on, but then we went home, so we didn’t actually watch the draw.

“The next day I checked our ticket on the app and that’s when I saw we won.

“I screamed out to my husband ‘We’ve done it! We’ve won!’.

“We nearly had a heart attack! We still can’t really believe it. It’s unreal!

“We were actually visiting Bundaberg for the long weekend. It was an even better long weekend than we expected!”

When asked how the planned to enjoy their Keno fun money, the thrilled winners said they were already planning a celebratory holiday away.

“We aren’t too sure what we will do with it,” the happy winner said.

“We are thinking we will pay off some bills and we would love to do a cruise around New Zealand.”

The winning entry was purchased at Across the Waves Sport Club Inc, 1 Miller Street, Bundaberg.

Across the Waves Sport Club Inc operations manager Darren Wakefield said the venue was thrilled to have helped deliver a Keno 9 Spot win to some of their patrons.

“It’s fantastic news for the club and for the community,” he said.

“We are very proud to have sold the winning entry and we’ve been sharing the great news with all of our patrons.

“We are feeling very lucky, so hopefully we sell another major prize winning entry soon.

“Congratulations to our winners, we wish them all the best with their prize.”
