An Oberon man’s Sunday routine has scored him more than just a snag from the meat tray raffle after bagging a juicy Keno win worth more than $2 million.

The New South Wales resident scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 124, drawn Sunday 6 July 2025 and can look forward to a sizzling $2,076.498.60.

The thrilled winner relayed how the win came about while speaking to an official from Keno.

“I’m very well! It’s still sinking in, to be honest with you,” he said.

“We play the same 10 numbers every week. It’s part of our Sunday routine. We watch the footy, have dinner and try our luck in the meat raffle and Keno.

“When I saw the screen flash ‘Oberon RSL $2 million winner’, I looked up and thought, ‘Wow!’. I wondered how many others were playing 10 Spot at the time.

“It was very hard to contain myself because I didn’t want to get too excited in case it wasn’t me.

“We’re just amazed. I keep thinking this sort of thing doesn’t happen to us, but it has!

“I’ve got the ticket on the fridge and I’m going to frame it.”

With a multi-million-dollar boost heading his way, the thrilled winner is ready to set himself up for a cruisy retirement and pay it forward.

“It’s going to help us so much. We’re definitely going to use it as best we can. It would be great to set up an investment that can last us into our twilight years," he said.

“We’ll be sure to put some back into the community and help others, too.”

His winning Keno classic entry was purchased from Oberon RSL Club, Cnr Oberon & Dudley Street, Oberon.

In 2024, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 76 million wins collectively worth more than $1.19 billion.

During this time, Keno crowned 23 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $54.9 million. Eleven of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including an East Maitland dad who scored a $6.6 million windfall.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 38.9 million Keno wins totalling more than $599.2 million across the region in 2024.
