A Fairfield man is looking forward to dusting off his snorkelling gear and escaping the winter blues after his dinner date with mates led him to a $50,000 Keno win.
The Sydneysider scored a Keno Mega Millions prize in draw 632, drawn Monday 12 August 2024. He can look forward to a total prize of $50,000.
When officials from Keno called to confirm the life-enhancing prize, the gleeful man shared he’d decided to play Keno Mega Millions instead of Keno Classic which led him to a larger prize.
“I’m very good! I’m pretty happy with $50,000!” the gleeful man cheered.
“I’m looking forward to a relaxing holiday. Not sure where yet but one hundred percent somewhere warm.
“I’ve been close before in Keno. I once scored $10,000 a few years ago.
“It’s crazy because the night I won $50,000; I’d normally play $1 Keno Classic games but that night I chose to play a $2 Keno Mega Millions game instead. I’m stoked.
“It was funny. I was at the venue with friends, and it came up that someone had won $50,000.
“I said ‘Wow. That could be me!’. My mates were saying ‘Go check! Go check!’, but I still had a couple of games left on my ticket, so we had to wait in anticipation.
“When I finally checked my ticket, we couldn’t believe it!
“To celebrate, I went home and had a few quiet ones with my wife. She’s thrilled for me.”
The man’s winning entry was purchased from Yennora Oasis Hotel, 140 Fairfield Street, Fairfield East.
Yennora Oasis Hotel team are over the moon for the winning patron and wished him all the best with his prize.
