A Tweed Heads man is heading into the weekend with a spring in his step after discovering he bagged more than $75,000 in a recent Keno draw.
The Gold Coast resident held a Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot winning entry in draw 304, drawn Wednesday 5 June 2024, and took home a total prize of $75,880.80.
“Thank you!” he said when a Keno official reached out to confirm the wondrous news.
“It’s very nice, I’m very happy with it.
“Everybody was jumping around at the club.
“It’s come at a great time.”
When asked how he planned to use his newfound treasure, the winning man admitted he’d been so busy, he’d barely had time to think about it.
“I’ve been very preoccupied these past few days. I haven’t had any time to let it sink in!” he said.
“I haven’t told anyone yet either and I haven’t really thought about what I’ll do.
“Now that it’s confirmed, I can think about putting it towards my retirement.”
His winning entry was purchased at Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club, Marine Parade & Hill Street, Coolangatta.
