A pair of Redbank Plains revellers are jumping for joy this week after bagging more than $1.8 million in a recent Keno draw.

The two friends won a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry in draw 932 on Friday 10 June 2022. Their total windfall was $1,870,513.10.

Confirming the win with an official from Keno, one of the winning duo shared it was still difficult to process the fact that their lives had changed in the blink of an eye.

“We’re still in a state of shock. It’s just mind-blowing!” she said.

“We play Keno together quite often. One of us will pick the numbers and we’ll just replay them while we’re there.

“You never expect to win anything, let alone $1.8 million!

“A bit of confusion ensued when I went to check the ticket.

“So, while the venue checked a few details, we ordered dinner and by the time we sat down to eat, we knew we’d won. It was an incredible moment.

“Knowing I won’t ever rent again and now have the chance to buy my first home is the greatest feeling in the world. After that, who knows!”

Their winning entry was purchased at Jets Leagues Club, 15 Downs Street, North Ipswich.

The Jets Leagues Club congratulated their winners, and wished them all the best for their futures.

In 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 36.2 million wins collectively worth more than $590.3 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 13 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $31 million.  Six of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Gladstone man who won a Keno Classic 10 Spot prize of more than $2.1 million.

Queenslanders enjoyed more than 17.3 million Keno wins totalling more than $264.98 million at pubs and clubs across the state in 2021.

Keno players can also enter into the monthly second chance draw for the chance to win one of five $1,000 prizes by scanning their ticket at win.secondchance.keno.com.au.
