A Mackay resident or visitor has most likely been going about the last month completely unaware they scored more than $74,000 in a recent Keno draw.

The North Queensland player bagged the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 748, drawn Saturday 6 September and can look forward to a total prize of $74,809.00.

The winning entry was purchased at Magpies Sporting Club, 1 Glenella Road, Glenella.

Magpies Sporting Club gaming manager Sarah Smith said the venue had been proudly sharing the exciting news with everyone.

“It’s always such a thrill! We had a feeling another big Keno win was on the horizon, and we couldn’t be happier that it’s happened here at Magpies,” she said.

“It’s a moment worth celebrating together, and we’re thrilled to spread the good vibes across the venue!

“There’s always a wonderful sense of community pride when one of our own players wins big, and we’re sure everyone will be joining in to congratulate the mystery winner.

“Since this $74,000 Keno jackpot, there has also been another Keno 8 Spot jackpot at Magpies Sporting Club, valued at $44,383.90. We’re on a winning streak!

“A huge congratulations! We hope this exhilarating prize brings the winner and their family plenty of joy.”

Keno spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the mystery winner was most likely walking around with no idea they’d pocketed more than $74,000 in Keno last month.

“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Keno ticket from Magpies Sporting Club to check their tickets as soon as possible,” she said.

“While we haven’t been able to confirm the life-enhancing news with this jackpot winner, we’re sure that when they do discover their newfound fortune, they’ll be absolutely thrilled.

“With more than $74,000 in your back pocket, you could be jetting off around the globe, buying a home or helping your nearest and dearest.

“Winning tickets have been found in all sorts of places. Be sure to check your handbag, car glove box, your bedside table and anywhere else the Keno ticket may be hiding.”
