The Central Tablelands’ newest millionaire might be completely unaware they won more than $1.1 million in a Keno draw yesterday morning, with officials urging players in the area to check their tickets.

The mystery player held a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry in draw 814, drawn Tuesday 20 March 2024 and took home a total prize of $1,160,910.60.

However, the player has yet to check their winning ticket and start the prize claim process.

The winning Keno Classic 10 Spot entry was purchased at Dudley Hotel, 250 Stewart Street, Bathurst.

The Dudley Hotel team is over the moon to have sold a million-dollar winning entry at their venue and hope the winner comes forward soon to claim their prize.

Keno spokesperson James Eddy said he encouraged all players who purchased a Keno entry at Dudley Hotel this week to check their tickets as soon as possible.

“Someone could have walked out the venue with a winning ticket worth more than $1.1 million in their back pocket or handbag and may not have realised!” he said.

“Imagine discovering you’re the winner of more than $1.1 million just one week before Easter! It would be a sweet early Easter treat.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Keno entry at Dudley Hotel to check their tickets today – you could be holding a major Keno winning entry!

“Past Keno winners have used their prizes to purchase cars, renovate their homes, or go on trips around Australia.

“If you discover you’re holding the winning Keno Classic 10 Spot ticket, hold on tight to it and head into your closest venue as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process.”

In 2023, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 67.31 million wins collectively worth more than $1 billion.

During this time, Keno crowned 21 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $51.5 million.  Seven of these major winners were Queenslanders, including a Kallangur man who won $8.45 million after scoring the Keno Classic and Keno Mega Millions 10 Spot jackpots in the one draw.

Queenslanders enjoyed more than 21.79 million Keno wins totalling more than $349.14 million at pubs and clubs across the state in 2023.

Keno players can also enter into the monthly second chance draw for the chance to win one of five $1,000 prizes by scanning their ticket at win.secondchance.keno.com.au.

About Keno

Along with being played in over 3,500 pubs and clubs in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Keno can now be played anywhere with the Keno app in the ACT and Victoria.

A Keno draw occurs approximately every three minutes. During each draw, 20 numbers are drawn from 1 to 80. Players simply match the numbers on their entry to the numbers drawn for a chance to win over $1 million.

There are a range of Keno games to play, including Keno Mega Millions – a higher jackpot version of Keno Classic that uses the same Keno ball draw but gives players the chance to win $5 million or more.
