A hardworking Blackall man is ploughing ahead with a $60,000 Keno win after his âspecial numbersâ delivered him a joyous start to 2025.
The Blackall-Tambo resident scored the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in draw 668, drawn Monday 13 January 2025. He can look forward to a total prize of $66,602.
âIâm very good, thank you!â he said while speaking to an official from Keno.
âItâs great news. Iâm very excited.
âI havenât had much time for it to sink in as Iâm busy working today.
âI always play the same numbers, so it was pretty amazing that they all finally showed up.â
With $60,000 about to boost his bank account, the gleeful winner shared he would use his newfound treasure wisely.
âIâll make some improvements to my property,â he shared.
âI want to spend it wisely, so Iâll have a good think about it.â
His winning entry was purchased from Barcoo Hotel, 95 Shamrock Street, Blackall.
Barcoo Hotel co-owner Sharon King shared she was thrilled to see a patron take home a $60,000 Keno prize in her venue.
âStaff and customers are all very ecstatic,â she said.
âI was here when the jackpot was won and there was lots of yelling and excitement. I was like, âWhatâs going on?!â.
âThis is the biggest prize weâve sold since we took over ownership so itâs incredible news.

In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.
