A Beaudesert woman has unwrapped the ultimate birthday gift while out celebrating with her nearest and dearest at her local club– a special $82,000 Keno win.

The Scenic Rim resident scored the Keno Classic Spot jackpot in draw 434, drawn Thursday 2 May 2024 and looks forward to a total prize of $82,500.

The Queenslander was waiting for her car to get serviced when she decided to pop into her local club to put on a Keno ticket and pass the time.

“Thank you! Thank you!” she laughed after an official from Keno confirmed the wondrous news.

“I’m very happy! I couldn’t believe it!

“It’s my birthday and I was out and about, waiting for my car to be serviced.

“I decided to walk in with some family and friends, and I treated myself to a game of Keno. The next thing I knew, I had won $82,000 – out of all the days I could’ve won!

“I called my husband earlier and told him to stop what he’s doing at work because we’ll get the family around in the board room and talk about the win and life!

“We’ll have a special dinner and celebrate; it’s changed the day around!

“It’s the most I’ve ever won, and I can’t believe it.”

While the victorious woman was still in disbelief following her Keno windfall, she shared it could potentially go towards a family holiday.

“It’s certainly enough for a nice family holiday,” she added.

“I normally work ‘24/7’ – well it feels like it – so it was nice the day off to celebrate my birthday.

“Thank you again!”

Her winning Keno Classic winning entry was purchased at The Club Beaudesert, Cnr William & Brayford Streets, Beaudesert.

The Club Beaudesert general manager Sharon Cullen said she was overjoyed that a regular member had taken home a major Keno prize winning entry.

“Everyone at the club was happy for the regular member who had scored the jackpot prize in Keno. It was also her birthday which is a great way to celebrate!” she said.

“It’s been a while since we’ve had a Keno jackpot; I think it was about 2022 since we celebrated one here at the club.

“We’re all really happy that we could sell a major Keno prize winning entry and hopefully it is the start to many more wins to come.

“To our winner, we hope you had a wonderful birthday and a big congratulations!”
