Having heard about Keno’s quest to find Twin Towns’ mystery 10 Spot jackpot winner last week and wishing it was her, a Banora Point woman was inspired to grab a ticket but never expected to walk away $1.17 million richer.

The New South Wales resident scored the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 879, drawn Tuesday 28 November 2023, and took home a total prize of $1,175,312.90.

It’s the second Keno 10 Spot Jackpot prize to land at Twin Towns in less than a week after a Tweed Heads man took home $1,779,864.20 last Thursday.

This morning, an official from Keno reached out to the winning woman who admitted she was tossing and turning all night dreaming about her new reality as a newly minted millionaire.

“Oh, I don’t even know what to say!” she laughed.

“I didn’t sleep at all. I can’t believe it.

“I went into the local club to check my older Keno tickets because I heard there was a mystery 10 Spot jackpot winner last week at Twin Towns, and they were trying to unite the winner with the prize.

“I said to the team member, ‘Oh, that would’ve been a nice prize to win. I wish it was me! Better luck next time’.

“I was a bit inspired, so I decided to put 10 numbers on a new Keno ticket.

“The next thing I knew, the Keno 10 Spot Jackpot prize went off at the club!

“I was in so much shock, and we’re still in shock.

“We’re still getting our head around it all.

“We don’t know what to do with the prize just yet, but we know it will go to good use.

“Thank you so much.”

The Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry was purchased at Club Banora, Leisure Drive, Banora Point.

Club Banora duty manager Darren Mayne said the club was humming with excitement from the moment the Keno Classic 10 Spot jackpot win came up on the screen.

“It was definitely a déjà vu moment! Last Thursday, Twin Towns opened their brand-new Juniors Club and had a $1.7 million Keno 10 Spot win on the first day of trade,” he said.

“Here we are, just days later, and the excitement has moved down the road to Club Banora with another 10 Spot Keno millionaire and takes the tally to almost $3 million won on Keno at Twin Towns’ clubs in less than a week!

“When the 10 Spot Keno prize went off, everyone in the club was asking… ‘Was it you?’ and patrons were telling each other that someone just won the 10 Spot here at Club Banora!

“Well done to the winner and her family! Congratulations from everyone at Twin Towns. We’re so happy you chose our club to play your winning numbers.”
