A Ballina man says he’s still coming to terms with the fact he’s started the week a multi-millionaire after taking home a Keno Classic prize of more than $2 million.

The New South Wales patron held a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry in game 603 on Friday 4 September 2020 and takes home a prize of $2,041,256.90.

Confirming his win with an official from Keno today, the man said he was still in shock.

“I still can’t believe it,” he claimed.

“I’m waiting for the news to sink in!

“I was there on Friday and we were watching the draw.

“The first number came out, then the second, and then the third.

“It was looking promising.

“By the ninth number I realised I only needed one more and there we go!

“I thought I’d won $2,000 and I was stoked with that, but $2 million!

“I was shaking. I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno windfall, the man said it would change a lot of lives.

“I’ve got lots of children and grandchildren, so this will be life-changing for all us,” he said.

“I’ll certainly begin by buying a house, and I will look at investing some as well.

“It will be fantastic!”

The winning Keno Classic 10 Spot entry was purchased at Slipway Hotel, 56 River Street, Ballina.

Slipway Hotel manager Kel Campbell said it was the biggest winning entry the venue had sold.

“We are all so happy for this man,” she said.

“Congratulations to him from all our customers! We really hope he enjoys this life-changing win.

“We were thrilled to be part of this exciting moment. Everyone in the venue was so happy.”
