A Lithgow man has a smorgasbord of reasons to celebrate this weekend after discovering his luscious $84,000 Keno windfall while enjoying dinner last night.

The Central Tablelands resident scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 136, drawn Thursday 17 August 2023 and pockets $84,865.80.

The cheery man was still in awe of his newfound fortune when an official from Keno reached out this morning to confirm the win.

“Oh, thank you so much. It still doesn’t feel real,” he laughed.

“I bought the ticket early in the day and I had forgotten about it.

“It wasn’t until I was out for tea that I decided to grab it out of my wallet to check if I had won anything.

“I couldn’t eat anything after that. I was too awestruck.

“We celebrated the win afterwards, but it still hasn’t sunk in!

“This is the biggest prize I’ve ever won by a long shot. I play Keno a little bit, here and there. I just let it tick away.

“I can’t believe it.”

The New South Welshman had one thing in mind when it came to enjoying his prize — a brand-new set of wheels.

“I might say goodbye to the ol’ Mitsubishi and treat myself to a nice BMW!” he shared.

“We will have to look at a car yard on the weekend!”

His winning entry was purchased at Lithgow City Bowling Club, 2C Lithgow Street, Lithgow.

The Lithgow City Bowling Club team were overjoyed to have sold a major winning Keno entry to a local man and wished him all the best with his future plans.
