Forget champagne and cake, a young Derwent Park mum is celebrating her $74,000 Keno win by drinking hot chocolate and dancing around her house.
The Tasmanian player held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in game 337 on Wednesday 22 July 2020 and takes home a prize worth $74,583.80.
Speaking with an official from Keno this morning, the overjoyed woman relayed the thrilling moment she discovered she’d won the 8 Spot prize.
“I was watching the draw and I saw the numbers come up one by one,” she explained.
“I thought I had seven numbers at first and I was very excited, but then I realised I actually had all eight numbers!
“I thought ‘Oh my god! Is this real?’. I was absolutely blown away.
“I screamed so loudly. My partner and I were jumping up and down.
“I went into shock after that.
“It was the best feeling ever. It’s absolutely amazing!
“We went and got a hot chocolate each to celebrate.
“God I would love to go out dancing this weekend to celebrate properly, but obviously we can’t do that. I’ll just have to dance around the house.”
When asked how she intended to enjoy her Keno fun money, the overjoyed winner said she’d stayed up all night planning.
“I want to buy a house! Last night we were looking online at land and homes,” she shared.
“I also love fishing, so I really want to get a boat too.
“This is really going to set me up for the rest of my life.”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry on the Keno app.
