Confirming his news with a Keno official today, the man recalled how he discovered his windfall.

“On Friday night I got a phone call from someone who was down at the club saying that someone had won a Keno 8 Spot prize and maybe it was me,” he explained.

“So I headed there straight away and checked my ticket and sure enough it was me!

“I couldn’t believe it. I was really quite shocked.

“I always play the same numbers, on the same ticket. My numbers aren’t based on anything in particular.

“It was such a great surprise!”

The winner revealed his Keno fun money would go towards upgrading his home.

“It will completely cover some renovations we’ve really wanted to do at home,” he said.
