A Seven Hills woman has been hit with a sense of déjà vu after winning an $80,000 8 Spot prize in Keno for the second time – using the same numbers she played the last she won in February.

The Greater Western Sydney resident held a Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot winning entry in draw 338 on Monday 5 September 2022. Her total prize was $80,395.90.

In February, the New South Wales player also held a Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot winning entry in draw 439 and took home $79,993.30.

“I was so surprised! I didn’t think it was true.” she relayed when speaking to an official from Keno.

“I usually look up the draw on the phone. Instead of putting the draw number 338 on my phone, I’d put in 228 by mistake.

“Nothing had come up as it was the wrong draw number. I thought to myself, ‘Oh, I didn’t win anything’.

“The team member came over to me and she said, ‘You might’ve won something!’. I said, ‘Are you sure?!’

“The results had popped up, and I said, ‘There it is!’.

“I won with the same Keno numbers in February. What a coincidence!

“It’s great.”

When asked how she planned to spend her fun money, the Sydneysider shared she was too stunned to immediately decide any concrete plans.

“Last time, I planned to use my prize to fix my roof,” she said.

“I didn’t expect to win a major Keno prize again, so I’m still too in shock to think of something.

“I know it will go to good use.”

The woman’s winning entry was purchased at Hotel Seven Hills, 222 Prospect Highway, Seven Hills.

The Hotel Sevens Hill team said they’re over the moon for their latest major Keno winner and wished her all the best for years to come.

In FY22, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 62.2 million wins collectively worth more than $896.7 million.

During this time, Keno crowned 19 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $30.7 million.  Seven of these major winners were from New South Wales and the ACT, including a Sydneysider who picked up a $3.1 million windfall on Boxing Day while holidaying in Lake Macquarie.

Players in New South Wales and the ACT enjoyed more than 38.1 million Keno wins totalling more than $497.3 million across the region in the 12 months to 30 June 2022.

Keno players can also enter into the monthly second chance draw for the chance to win one of five $1,000 prizes by scanning their ticket at win.secondchance.keno.com.au.
