A Wetherill Park woman's routine of replaying any Keno wins she's had on her next ticket has paid off after a month-long winning streak yielded her a $55,000 Keno 8 Spot prize.

The regular player scored a Keno 8 Spot prize worth $55,776.70 in Keno Classic draw 833, drawn Thursday 28 January 2021.

Sharing her excitement with an official from Keno today, she recounted the moment she realised she had won a major prize.

"I’ve had this Keno ticket going for about a month,” she explained.

“Whenever I go down to the club for lunch, I put on a Keno ticket, and then I check it next time I’m down there.

“If I’ve won something, I just use that towards playing my next ticket.

“I’ve been on a winning streak and have just been replaying this ticket for a month now.

“When I went down there and scanned my ticket they told me they couldn’t pay it out on the spot because I had won a large prize.

“It thought I must have won $1500 or something like that, but no, the lady told me I had won $55,000!

“I thought ‘Oh my god! This can’t be real!’. It was a lovely surprise. A real surprise!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her Keno fun money, the stoked winner revealed she had already spent it on a new set of wheels.

“It's fantastic! I’d just bought a new car, and now that’s paid right off! Every time I drive it now, I’ll think about my win!” she laughed.

“The rest I’ll give to the kids. I’m taking them out for dinner this week to tell them the good news and give them their share.

“They will be thrilled!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her entry at Smithfield RSL Club, Cnr Neville Street and Cumberland Highway, Smithfield.
