A Wauchope woman has turned her spare change into a $64,000 windfall after scoring a Keno 8 Spot prize on Friday night.

The Mid North Coast player held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry in game 687 on Friday 6 December 2019, taking home a $64,048.90 prize.

Speaking with a Keno official this morning, the overjoyed woman recounted how her ‘life-changing’ win came to be.

“I was grabbing some dinner after work when I saw I had a bit of spare change in my wallet,” she explained.

“It was only $7, so I thought I’d throw it on Keno and see how I went.

“I never expected to win $64,000! I was blown away!

“It is going to change my life!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her Keno windfall, the happy woman declared it would go straight towards helping her family’s future.

“It will go a long way to helping my family,” she said.

“It will be good to be able to pay off a few bills and be debt free.

“Then I think I’ll buy myself a few bits of furniture and a couple of small things here and there before investing the rest for our future.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her Keno 8 Spot winning entry at Wauchope RSL Club, Corner Young and Cameron Streets, Wauchope.

Wauchope RSL Club Secretary Manager Graham Withers said he was thrilled one of his patrons had scored a major prize.

“It’s a great feeling to know one of our customers has scored a major prize!” he exclaimed.

“It’s great for a small club and our community. It couldn’t have gone to a nicer person!

“It’s been a few years since we’ve sold a major prize and this one is definitely one of the biggest we’ve ever sold.

“The staff were estatic when they realised they had sold a winner. It’s been a great atmosphere in the club since the win.

“We’ll be telling all of our patrons we’ve sold a major prize.

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish her all the best with her prize!”
