A Vineyard man who won a Keno prize of more than $67,000 while enjoying a Friday night out with the boys admitted his week couldn’t have ended any better.
The Keno player’s entry in game 57 won a prize of $67,453.70 on Friday 28 February 2020.
Confirming his exciting prize with a Keno official this morning, the Sydney man relayed the moment he discovered his win.
“I was having a drink with the boys, just relaxing after work on Friday,” he explained.
“I heard someone won a major prize, so I went and checked my ticket.
“I was gobsmacked! I couldn’t believe I’d won.
“It was a great way to end the working week!
“I stayed on with the guys to celebrate.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke said he was excited to go on a holiday.
“I told my family and they are already thinking of ways to spend the prize,” he admitted.
“I would like to go on a holiday to Tasmania.
“It’s beautiful there and I haven’t been for years! It will be beautiful to go to the snow again.”
The winning entry was purchased at Vineyard Hotel, Cnr Windsor and Boundary Roads, Vineyard.
Vineyard Hotel duty manager Zorica Bateup said the venue was thrilled to see one of their patrons win a major prize.
“We are ecstatic,” she said.
“It was a wonderful surprise on Friday night.
“We are so happy for the winner and we wish him all the best with his prize.
“Hopefully we have some more big wins soon!”
