An Underwood couple is ready to swap their daily routine for sun, sand, and sightseeing after scoring a sensational $89,000 Keno win last night, setting the stage for the holiday of a lifetime.
The Queenslanders held a Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot winning entry in draw 789, drawn Thursday 20 February 2025. Their total windfall was $89,765.10.
The dynamic duo, who were still coming to terms with their good fortune, revealed they’ve been daydreaming about an escape for years – and now their Keno win had made it all possible.
“Thank you! It’s so great,” the winning woman explained.
“It’s not every day you win $89,000!
“We were out for dinner and decided to put on a game of Keno. We didn’t expect to win a jackpot prize.
“This is the most we’ve ever won in our entire life.
“My husband is keen to celebrate. I’ll personally keep it lowkey!
“We’re very surprised. We will look to put this towards a holiday; something we’ve wanted to do for a while!”
The winning couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning Keno Mega Millions ticket at Brisbane Lions Club, 2 Pannikin Street, Springwood.
The Brisbane Lions Club team were overjoyed to have sold another major Keno winning entry and wished their customers all the best with their prize.
In FY24, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 78.5 million wins collectively worth more than $1.16 billion.
