An Umina Beach man who reeled in a Keno Mega Millions win worth $157,000 has confessed he spent hours convincing his wife the prize was the “real deal”.
The Central Coast resident scored the Keno Mega Millions 8 Spot jackpot in Keno draw 25, drawn Sunday, 27 July 2025. He can look forward to a dazzling $157,513.80.
When speaking to an official from Keno, the winning man shared he planned to surprise his nearest and dearest family with a holiday.
“It’s unbelievable!” he cheered.
“I still can’t believe it’s real. I thought I might wake up and it would all be a dream.
“I’ve been playing the same set of special numbers for years now. They were just a random bunch of numbers I chose when I started playing, but they’re special to me now.
“I surprised my wife with the news, and she struggled to believe me at first.
“It took some convincing to prove it was the real deal.
“We’ve decided we’ll surprise our family with a cruise. It’ll be a rare opportunity for us to all get together.”
His winning Keno Mega Millions entry was purchased from Club Umina, Melbourne Avenue, Umina Beach.
