Two weeks after the win Keno officials are still searching for a mystery millionaire who claimed a Keno 10 Spot prize at Baxter Tavern but who is yet to discover their life-changing news.

The elusive Melbourne patron held a Keno 10 Spot winning entry in game 157 on Saturday 8 June 2019, taking home $1,541,399.90. However, they haven’t checked their ticket so could be completely unaware they are now a millionaire.

The winning Keno 10 Spot entry was purchased at Baxter Tavern, 117 Baxter-Tooradin Road, Baxter.

Keno spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer urged all players who purchased a Keno entry at Baxter Tavern this month to check their tickets immediately.

“Imagine walking around with a ticket worth $1.5 million and not knowing it!” she exclaimed.

“Just think how different the past two weeks would have been if our mystery winner had already discovered their new millionaire status.

“They could have started planning overseas holidays, visited luxury car yards for test drives or gone to inspect their future dream home.

“The winning ticket was purchased on a long weekend which has us speculating that perhaps the winner was a visitor to the area who simply isn’t aware there was a win at the very tavern they had a drink with mates over a parmigiana.

“Or maybe the winner was a local resident who popped into the tavern for a special occasion.

“That is why we are encouraging all Keno patrons to check their tickets – even if they don’t think it could be them. You never know, you could be the winning millionaire we are searching for.

“If you discover you’re holding the winning Keno 10 Spot ticket, hold on tight to it and head into your closest venue as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!”

Baxter Tavern Operations Manager Dean Normington said the team were doing their best to find the winner.

“We’re doing everything we can to let people in the area know we’ve sold a winning entry,” he said.

“We’ve put up posters in the venue and notifications on our digital screens in the hopes our patrons notice and check their tickets.

“The win still has the tavern buzzing as everyone is wondering who the winner might be.

“Hopefully they come forward soon so we can unite them with their prize!”

Baxter Tavern is no stranger to big wins, as this is the second Keno 10 Spot winning entry it has sold. The last win was in 2015 when a local woman scored $1.179 million.

In 2018, Keno crowned 16 millionaires and multi-millionaires who collectively took home more than $36.47 million.

Victorians win $5.925 million on average each month playing Keno in pubs and clubs across the state.

Last year in Victoria alone, players bought 8.28 million Keno tickets and won $71.105 million in cash prizes, including 165 individual 7, 8, 9, and 10 Spot jackpot prizes.
