When a Tuncurry woman initially scored her Keno 9 Spot win this morning, she initially thought sheâd won $1,200, but was thrilled to discover it was in fact a life-enhancing $247,000 win.
The Mid North Coast resident scored the Keno Classic 9 Spot winning entry in draw 649, drawn Thursday 2 March 2023. Her total prize was $247,225.40.
Straight after the draw, an official from Keno spoke to the New South Wales woman, who was still reeling from the excitement.
âIâm still in shock!â she cheered.
âGosh, I donât know where to begin!
âItâs so exciting. I thought Iâd only won $1,200 and I was getting pumped for that!
âBut then, number 12 came up, and it was my last number. I couldnât believe it!
âThatâs when I discovered Iâd won $247,000!
âIâve always played the same Keno numbers for years.
âItâs really special to have won with these numbers for sentimental reasons.â
When asked how she planned to enjoy her fun money, the cheerful woman shared it would go towards paying off her mortgage for good.
âWe can completely pay off our house loan which is so exciting,â she said.
âWeâll celebrate the win in private.â
Her winning 9 Spot winning entry was purchased at Sporties Tuncurry, 65 Beach Street, Tuncurry.
