Three long-time friends have kicked off their week with winning smiles after landing a Keno Classic 8 Spot prize worth more than $77,000 on the weekend.
The Far North Queensland friends won the Keno Classic 8 Spot jackpot in game 26 on Sunday 29 September 2024. Their total prize was $77,090.90.
The trio, who play Keno together when they catch up a couple of times each month, decided to give their “lucky numbers” another go after a recent win.
“We won $9,000 on Keno a month ago, so we thought, ‘we’ll run roughly the same numbers’ – and they came up good!” one of the winning mates shared.
“We didn’t check the ticket at first. Someone said there was a big win here at the club, so we might want to check our tickets.
“It was pretty surreal when we realised it was us!
“Not a bad way to start the week! Great to share the win with my mates.”
As for their plans for their windfall, the winner admitted the group had yet to make any concrete decisions.
“We haven’t really thought about it. I’m sure there are some bills to pay and get a few things like that off our backs,” he said.
“It just means we can breathe a little easier.”
Their winning ticket was purchased at Edge Hill Memorial Bowls Club, 181 Woodward Street, Edge Hill.
