A Toowoomba man who had a dream that a major prize was on the horizon has capped off the long weekend with a $383,000 Keno Mega Millions win.

The Queenslander held a Keno Mega Millions 9 Spot winning entry in draw 874 on Monday 4 October 2021, delivering him a $383,265.00 prize.

Confirming his win with an official from Keno this morning, the regular Keno player said he was still reeling from the excitement.

“I think it’s just starting to sink in to be honest,” he laughed.

“I went down to the pub yesterday like I usually do, and then all of a sudden there was a big win in the venue.

“And it was me!

“I’ve been waiting for a win. I’ve dreamt about it over the last couple of weeks. I even told my wife that I was going to score a major prize soon, and she thought I was crazy.

“It’s unreal! I am so excited.”

The happy Darling Downs winner said his prize meant he could spend some more time relaxing and planning for the future.

“I will probably look at how I can invest it,” he explained.

“It’s going to make life a bit easier and better. It will take the pressure off. It will be great!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 9 Spot entry at Club Toowoomba, 331-339 Hume Street, Toowoomba.

Club Toowoomba General Manager Kelly Cassidy said she was thrilled for their local and regular patron.

“We are all very excited, that’s for sure!” she exclaimed.

“This is our first big Keno win and we couldn’t be happier to see it go to the person it did.

“Congratulations to him! We are all celebrating.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.
