“I honestly still can’t believe it,” he said when speaking to an official from Keno the day after his win.

“My partner and I were talking last night, and we agreed that it still hadn’t sunk in.

“It’s only just starting to feel real hearing you confirm the win.

“It was our last day of holidays, so we thought we’d go out for lunch.

“I usually play a game of Keno when I go out for lunch and hope to cover the cost. This was something else!”

The thrilled winner said his $50,000 bounty would allow him to nail out some home improvements.

“We’ve been trying to do some renovations at our place, so this will give us a great boost,” he shared.

“What a great way to start off the new year!”

His winning Keno Classic entry was purchased at Railway Hotel, 78 James St, Yeppoon.
