Seeing is believing for a Taren Point man, who won’t accept he scored a $110,000 Keno prize until the money is in his bank account.

The shocked winner scored a Keno Classic 8 Spot prize in draw 39, drawn Saturday 20 March 2021 and takes home a prize worth $111,737.60.

Sharing his disbelief with a Keno official this morning, the southern Sydney man recounted the moment he was told he was a Keno major prize winner.

“I didn’t believe it when they told me! I still don’t believe it!” he laughed.

“Every now and then, I go down to my local club to have a couple of drinks and relax. Whenever I am there, I play Keno.

“There is no particular reason I chose those numbers. I just play whatever I feel like on the day.

“I had no idea I had won anything until someone came over and told me to check my ticket.

“Apparently, I was the only one playing Keno at the time, so they thought I might be holding a winning ticket, and I was.

“It’s still sinking in!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his Keno fun money, the loving dad said he would share it with his family once it was in his bank account.

“I haven’t got a clue! It’s hard to imagine I’ve got the money until it lands in my bank account,” he confessed.

“I’m sure we will put it to good use travelling when the pandemic is over.

“And we’ll be making sure our daughter is looked after too.

“No doubt there will be plenty of projects around the house we can use it on.

“But I really can’t say until I see it in front of me. I just don’t believe it!”

The winning entry was purchased at The Point Bowling Club, 203 Hold Road, Taren Point.

The Point Bowling Club General Manager Tim Wolfe said the team was excited to be part of such a big win.

“This is the biggest win we’ve ever had at the club, so we are thrilled!” he exclaimed.

“The local patrons will be very happy the ticket was sold in their local venue.

“It has been a while since we’ve had a big win, so we are stoked. This is by far the biggest payout we’ve ever had.

“The club staff and local community wish our winner all the best! We hope this win helps him and his family.

“Let’s hope the luck continues for patrons at our club!”
