A Sunshine Keno player is beaming with excitement after they scored more than $100,000 in a Keno Spot 8 draw this week.

The Melbourne resident held a Keno Classic 8 Spot winning entry in draw 883, drawn Wednesday 9 February 2022. Their total prize was $101,485.10.

However, how they plan to enjoy their Keno prize will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning Keno Classic 8 Spot entry was purchased at Glengala Hotel, 214 Glengala Road, Sunshine West.

Glengala Hotel spokesperson Dora Amiridis said they were celebrating having one of their patrons score a major Keno prize.

“We’ve been celebrating at the venue and telling everyone we’ve sold a major Keno prize,” she said.

“Lots of people have been so excited to hear that one of our patrons have won. Everyone’s hoping it is them next time!

“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them all the very best with their prize.”

Keno spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she had no doubt the winner was busy making exciting plans for 2022 with their dazzling win.

“While we may never know how this big Keno winner plans to enjoy their prize, this mid-week win has left them grinning from ear to ear,” she said.

“Other Keno winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.

“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling for a long time to come.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, Keno players across the eastern states of mainland Australia celebrated more than 64 million wins collectively worth more than $853 million.
